We’re excited to announce that WPCodeBox 2 v1.2 and v1.2.1 is now available. This release introduces Snippet Revisions, Snippet URLs, Exporting and Importing Snippets, and so much more!
You can download the latest version of WPCodeBox from the Customer Portal, or add your API key to your site to enable auto-updates.
WPCodeBox now includes snippet revisions with code diffs. You can roll back specific lines in seconds instead of re-writing code from scratch, and bring back deleted lines exactly where you need them. Every revision is tracked so you can see what changed and when, with the option to add notes that keep your history clear. You can delete revisions you don’t need and set how many versions to keep, giving you a faster, safer way to experiment and refine your snippets without risk.
Navigate directly to any snippet using its unique URL. This makes it simple to bookmark snippets for quick access, or share direct links to documentation and procedures with your team or clients.
With WPCodeBox you’ve already been able to save snippets to the cloud and reuse them across your sites. Now you can also export snippets directly from one site and import them into another in just a few clicks. This gives you complete flexibility: maove code between projects, share snippets with your team, or quickly replicate workflows without rewriting anything.
Take your internal documentation further with the new Markdown Snippet. Write clear instructions, notes, or process details in Markdown and keep them right alongside your code. Then share them instantly with your team or clients using a Snippet URL. It’s a simple way to turn WPCodeBox into both your coding tool and your knowledge base.
If you’ve ever wanted fewer hover overlays in WPCodeBox, now you have the option. A new plugin setting lets you turn them off, so you’ll only see the essentials like autocomplete. Overlays for things like error messages or suggestions won’t get in the way, giving you a cleaner, more focused coding experience.
